Today begins
a very important day to support the:
Marion
Jordan PTA
§
To
accomplish our budget goals, we’ve decided to once again take a healthy &
fun approach to fundraising. We are hosting our annual Blue Jay Shuffle!
§
The
Blue Jay Shuffle is a Walk/Run for Fun that will take place on a special course
set up in the athletic field behind Marion Jordan.
§
Students
will raise money by collecting pledges from family and friends to jump, skip,
walk or run laps around the course while raising money for the Marion Jordan
PTA and promoting the principles of Respect, Responsibility and Safety.
§
We
are raising money to be used for Educational field trips, technology, school equipment,
mini-courses, our family events and much more.
§
Please
help us by helping your child raise $50.00 or more in pledges.
Our total school
goal is to raise $15,000.
This is our primary
fundraiser for this year.

Blue Jay Shuffle Details
§
Date
of the event: 9/16/11 from 9am to 3pm (rain date 9/23/11).
§
Students
are asked to wear specific colors on the day of the event to represent their
grade and team spirit:
Kindergarten- Yellow
1st – Red 4th-
Blue
2nd- Orange 5th-
Green
3rd- Purple 6th-
Black & White
§
Students
are rewarded for their pledge efforts—see next page.
§
Everyone
will receive a reward for participation.
§
Final Pledge due date for Rewards eligibility: 09/30/11
§
Pledges
by check should be made out to Marion
Jordan PTA.
§
Always
get parent permission to collect any pledges.
§
Never
go door to door to solicit pledges unless parents are present.
§
A
refreshing snack will be provided the day of the race.
§
The
Blue Jay Shuffle is not a race or a speed competition.
