Celebrate Your Creative Talents by Participating in the

2010-2011 PTA Reflections Programs

2010-2011 Theme, “Together we can…”

Calling all artists. It’s back to school time AND time for Reflections. Do you like to draw, dance, play an instrument or take photographs in your spare time? Express your creativity by submitting your personal art through the PTA Reflections Program. It is a perfect place to showcase your talent.

The Reflections Program gives students the opportunity to encourage and display their talents while reinforcing the importance of arts in education. Start encouraging the students to brainstorm ideas to support this years’ theme “Together we can…” With such a great, wide open theme the ideas can be expresses limitlessly throughout the categories. Students in Kindergarten through Grade 6 at Marion Jordan can submit entries in the following categories:

• Film/video production
• Dance choreography
• Musical composition
• Photography
• Visual arts
• Literature

Refer to the Marion Jordan PTA web site (mjpta.org) for full details on Rules, Regulations and downloadable Entry Forms. Please note, all entries must have an entry form attached.

Students are NOT limited to one entry or one category. Deadlines for entries will be Friday, November 5, 2010. Watch for more information at school, through the announcements and through the MJ newsletter. In the meantime, start snapping shots, composing music, or drawing what you think expresses “Together we can…” to you.
