Ways and Means

Fund-raising Objectives for the 2011-2012 School Year

The PTA will spend approximately $52 per child this year on the many educational and other programs and events that we either sponsor or support. We hope you will agree that our programs are worth your continued support. Our Board is aware that fundraising puts a burden on our families and our volunteers. We are working very hard to make fundraising as painless as possible by reducing our budget where we can, by keeping our fundraising to a minimum, and by limiting our fundraisers to those that offer high value or quality, convenient substitutions for items that you would purchase routinely elsewhere.

Please do not feel that you must participate in every one of our fundraiser. We offer this variety of fundraisers so families can choose to participate in the ones that work best for them.

There are several ways you can support the fundraising efforts of the PTA at Marion Jordan:

Direct Donation - make a tax-deductible donation to the PTA at the start of the school year

Annual Blue Jay Shuffle

A fun and healthy approach to fundraising. Students obtain pledges from family and friends and walk, run, hop, skip or jump to their favorite music.

Innisbrook Wraps

An opportunity to purchase holiday items with delivery before Thanksgiving. The products include wrapping paper, magazines, chocolates, gifts for the kitchen, jewelry, cards and more.

Market Day

A monthly grocery program makes it easy to purchase quality foods while returning a percent of the profit to our school;

Raffle Baskets/Silent Auction

Donate items for our silent auction or bid on raffle baskets that are assembled by each individual grade at our annual Fun Fair family event in March.
